## Key points

- GTA 6's Netflix preview became the platform's most-watched title globally.
- It topped charts in 58 countries, drawing 31.1 million views.
- Demand has caused a US shortage of PS5 Pro consoles pre-launch.

## Summary

Netflix's "Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look" preview has finished its run as the platform's most-streamed title worldwide, with the surge in demand also fuelling a shortage of PS5 Pro consoles at US retailers ahead of the game's launch. The 27-minute gameplay reveal, released under a deal between Netflix and publisher Take-Two Interactive, was the first event of its kind on the platform and briefly overwhelmed Netflix's service when it went live, underscoring the scale of anticipation for GTA 6 before its 19 November release.

Netflix reported 31.1 million views for the clip, making it the number one title in 58 countries and a top 10 entry in 87 of 93 tracked territories, ahead of new releases such as The Whisper Man and just short of Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein, which drew 29.1 million views in its first three days last year. The footage separately gained more than 17 million views on YouTube within four days of its release, while sales estimates put GTA 6 pre-orders at around five million across PS5 and Xbox combined, cementing expectations of a strong commercial launch.
