## Key points

- GTA VI footage highlights richer visuals and dual-protagonist gameplay.
- Rockstar says its map is triple Red Dead Redemption 2’s playable area.
- A playthrough with optional content reportedly lasted 80 hours.

## Summary

Netflix and Rockstar Games have released an extended look at Grand Theft Auto VI, showing a visually more detailed version of the series’ familiar mix of open-world exploration, driving, crime, shooting and cinematic storytelling. The footage suggests the game will centre on the partnership between protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, with players able to switch roles during pursuits and missions that combine combat, stealth and evasion.

The footage was captured on PlayStation 5 and also showed activities including boating, basketball, diving, racing and parachuting. Rockstar North said a February playthrough with some optional content took 80 hours, while Rockstar said the map is three times the size of Red Dead Redemption 2’s playable area; players can switch between the two leads at any time, influence whether they become a couple, and use the returning Snapmatic feature without posting publicly as they are fugitives.
