Cheshire Police have released CCTV footage showing two men they wish to identify after roughly 70,400 pints of Guinness, held in 800 barrels, were stolen from a depot in Runcorn on 31 August. The theft, described by detectives as a "brazen heist", has left no arrests made and none of the stout recovered, with the empty trailers used in the raid later found abandoned some 30 miles away near Skelmersdale, Lancashire.

The footage shows a lorry arriving at the depot's gate that evening, its driver appearing to speak to someone before being let in; a second lorry, driven by a different man, arrived later and attached another trailer before leaving. Police say the stolen kegs, taken from a site linked to Guinness owner Diageo and worth an estimated £115,000, are likely to be sold on by criminals, and are urging anyone approached by prospective sellers, or who recognises the men in the footage, to come forward.
