## Summary

Halloween Horror Nights has completed its opening night at Universal Studios Hollywood, launching this year's line-up of haunted houses and roaming scare actors themed around major film, television and gaming properties. The event pairs newly built mazes based on Netflix's "Stranger Things 5" and Ryan Coogler's "Sinners" with a debuting "Hellraiser" house and an area dedicated to Fortnite, reflecting Universal's strategy of tying its seasonal horror attraction to current pop-culture hits to draw crowds through the autumn season.

"Sinners" proved the busiest draw, with waits reaching 60 minutes within half an hour of the gates opening. The debuting "Hellraiser" maze ran a 50-minute queue, while "Killer Klowns From Outer Space," "Evil Dead Burn" and "Killceañera: Music by Slash" each sat around 30 minutes; "Stranger Things 5" and "Dead, Deader, Deadest" ran closer to 25 minutes. The night's busiest zone overall was the Ozzy Osbourne-themed Lower Lot area, where "Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness" hit a 35-minute wait and the adjoining Ozzy's Bar drew roughly an hour-long queue for themed food and cocktails, alongside a roaming, blood-soaked Nikki character from "Obsession" who surprised guests around the park. Halloween Horror Nights continues on select nights through 1 November.
