A domestic-dispute call in Polk County, Florida, led police to allegations that Christina Clemens, 46, had maintained a sexual relationship with her adult son, Shane, 22. Shane reportedly disclosed the relationship after being arrested for allegedly pushing his mother, saying he wanted it to end; the revelations have shocked the family and their Lakeland-area community.

According to police records, Shane said the relationship began about four years after he reconnected with Christina at 18, and that they concealed it from other household members. His stepfather, Terry, reportedly became suspicious after noticing them entering and locking the main bedroom, but said he had not known about the relationship. Christina allegedly acknowledged having sex with Shane around 100 times, and both were arrested, with the case described as an example of so-called Genetic Sexual Attraction.
