Netflix has begun production on "Myron Bolitar," its first ongoing series adaptation of author Harlan Coben's work, marking a departure from the limited-series format used for previous Coben projects like "Fool Me Once" and "Run Away." Filming started this week in New York, with Coben describing the process of bringing the show to life as "really heady and really interesting." Unlike his other Netflix adaptations, which he deliberately keeps as one-off stories, Coben says the Bolitar novels were designed to support multiple seasons.

The series stars Colin Woodell as Myron Bolitar, a former basketball star turned sports agent who becomes embroiled in solving mysteries involving his clients, alongside KJ Apa as his best friend Win Lockwood and Diane Guerrero as his assistant Esperanza Diaz. The first season will draw primarily on "Drop Shot," the second book in Coben's long-running novel series, which began with "Deal Breaker" in 1995. David E. Kelley and Kyle Long serve as co-showrunners, with Greg Yaitanes directing multiple episodes, and the wider cast includes Bebe Neuwirth, Melissa Benoist, Ben McKenzie and Griffin Dunne.
