Harlan Coben’s 2-Part Crime Series Officially Returns in 1 Month

Collider · 2 hours ago

CBS has confirmed that "Harlan Coben's Final Twist" will return for a second season on 5 October 2026, one month from now. The true-crime anthology, which follows the bestselling author as he revisits real unsolved or twist-laden cases through interviews and archival footage, debuted in January 2026 and became a five-episode success, prompting CBS to renew it in April. Its return matters as one of Coben's most acclaimed non-fiction projects, arriving while fans also await his Netflix adaptation "Myron Bolitar".

The season two premiere will focus on the 2011 murder of Betsy Faria, a Missouri woman found stabbed to death in a case initially treated as suicide. Her husband, Russ Faria, was convicted in 2013 but acquitted on retrial in 2015 after his defence pointed to family friend Pam Hupp, who was later charged with Faria's murder in 2021 and is already serving a life sentence for a separate 2016 killing; her trial for Faria's death is expected in 2028. The case was previously dramatised in 2022's "The Thing About Pam", starring Renée Zellweger, and a former sheriff's deputy involved in the original trial was subsequently charged with perjury.
