Harlan Coben’s New Mystery Thriller Is One of Netflix’s Biggest Debuts Ever
Netflix's new mystery thriller I Will Find You, based on a Harlan Coben novel, has posted one of the streamer's biggest-ever debuts, according to the latest Nielsen viewership data. This matters because it confirms the show as a genuine breakout hit, extending Netflix's run of dominating global streaming charts with limited-series adaptations, even though the reception from critics has been lukewarm rather than glowing.
The eight-episode series, created by Robert Hull and starring Britt Lower (Severance) and Sam Worthington (Avatar), launched on 18 June and has already racked up more than 85 million views in its first month according to Netflix's own figures. Nielsen's report, which tracks the week of 15–21 June, shows the show topping the rankings from just four days of viewing, and it has stayed at number one on Netflix's global chart for four consecutive weeks. Despite this commercial success, it holds a middling 61% score on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics describing it as a formulaic but breezy adaptation.
