Harrowing footage that made tearful Erika flee Charlie Kirk’s assassination trial… as Don Jr and Bettina Trump offer support

Daily Mail · 3 hours ago

Day two of the preliminary hearing over the 2025 murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk was held at Provo District Courthouse in Utah, with heavy security and intense media attention. Kirk's widow, Erika, was reportedly moved to tears by footage shown in court and left the room, while high-profile figures including Donald Trump Jr and his new wife, Bettina Anderson, attended to offer support to the family.

The courthouse was placed under tight security, with snipers on the roof, armed police in the lobby and courtroom, and blacked-out windows to prevent any line of sight to those entering. The accused, 23-year-old Tyler Robinson, appeared impassive throughout, seated near reporters positioned in the jury box. Both Kirk's grieving parents and Robinson's own parents attended, the latter avoiding cameras. Despite the charged atmosphere, part of the afternoon's testimony was described as so dull that several spectators who had queued overnight left early.

  • Erika Kirk left court in tears after distressing footage was shown.
  • Don Jr and wife Bettina attended to support Kirk's family.
  • Accused Tyler Robinson, 23, remained impassive amid heavy security.
