- Hanover Square will feature a themed tree with enchanted snowfall.

## Summary

Oxford Street will host a free Harry Potter-themed Christmas lights event on 9 November, with a switch-on countdown beginning at 2pm and the official start at 4.30pm. The celebration marks the forthcoming HBO Max series and brings themed displays to one of London’s busiest shopping streets.

Four 16-metre-wide, double-sided lights representing Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Gryffindor and Hufflepuff will appear between Marble Arch and Tottenham Court Road, alongside the usual star lights. Designed over three months, they contain more than 75,000 LEDs and clusters of 30 floating candles each; a themed tree with “enchanted snowfall” is planned for Hanover Square. The event runs until 7pm and includes music, carols, a quiz and other activities, with entry on a first-come, first-served basis.
