‘Harry Potter’ Visualization Studio Proof Inc. Returns To Australia With Brisbane Studio
Los Angeles-based Proof Inc., a studio specialising in visualisation work for major films including the Harry Potter series, is reopening a permanent base in Australia with a new studio in Brisbane. The move, announced as an exclusive on 8 July 2026, sees the company launch Proof Australia under the leadership of executive producer Katrina Peers, marking its return to a market where it has operated on and off for around two decades. Founder and CEO Ron Frankel said reestablishing a permanent presence would help the firm better support local productions while growing its worldwide creative network.
Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Los Angeles with an additional base in London, Proof has maintained ties in Australia since 2005, formally incorporating there in Sydney in 2012 and registering a New Zealand operation two years later. Its past Australian credits include Charlotte's Web and I, Frankenstein in Melbourne, The Ruins on the Gold Coast, and The Vatican Tapes, Gods of Egypt and The Age of Adaline in Sydney. Peers, who will oversee daily operations and regional growth, previously held senior development and production roles at Animal Logic with credits on Happy Feet and Legend of the Guardians; the company works across previs, pitchvis, techvis, stuntvis, postvis, virtual production and animation, with broader credits spanning Star Wars, Jurassic World, The Fast & The Furious and Avatar.
