## Summary

Hasan Piker celebrated a Democratic midterm victory during a lengthy Twitch livestream, declaring that “woke is back” and saying the results could mark the end of MAGA politics. His remarks drew attention because he paired political commentary with provocative jokes and calls for Republicans to go to prison, including imagining Donald Trump behind bars.

The stream lasted more than 13 hours and at times attracted over 200,000 viewers. Piker argued that Democrats should have run more socialist candidates, praised young voters, and criticised conservatives and moderate Democrats; he also repeated his view that Hamas is “a thousand times better than Israel”. The article presents his remarks as sometimes difficult to distinguish from trolling or exaggeration.
