Sufean Kamal, the 31-year-old son of hate preacher Abu Hamza, is bringing a legal challenge against the UK government after being stripped of his British citizenship over allegations he fought for jihadi groups in Syria, including Al Qaeda. Kamal, also known as Sufyan Mustafa, is a former computer science student and the son of Abu Hamza, 68, the hook-handed cleric who preached hate at Finsbury Park Mosque in north London before being deported to the United States, where he was convicted on terrorism charges. The case centres on an MI5 assessment linking Kamal to jihadi fighting in Syria, a claim he contests as he pursues the legal route to have his citizenship and right to return reinstated.
