## Key points

- Lauren LeFranc is reportedly in talks to produce a Poison Ivy series.
- The project has no writers and remains in early development.
- Its place in the wider DC Universe is unknown.

## Summary

New reporting says Lauren LeFranc, who ran *The Penguin*, is in talks to produce an HBO series about Poison Ivy. The project would broaden the screen spotlight on Batman’s adversaries, but its connection to DC’s wider universe remains unclear.

The series is in early development and has no writers attached; LeFranc is expected to produce, not write it. It would be separate from Matt Reeves’ *Batman* films and *The Penguin*, while its status in the larger DC Universe has not been confirmed. Development was reportedly paused during the Paramount and Warner Bros. merger. Poison Ivy, also known as Dr Pamela Isley, can control plants and has appeared as both a villain and an anti-hero.
