## Summary

Sloane Grodnick’s friends are creating a memorial tree and plaque for the 24-year-old, who was found dead with her parents at their New Jersey home. Prosecutors ruled her death and her mother’s deaths homicides, and her father’s death a suicide; police believe he killed his wife and daughter before taking his own life.

The friends’ fundraiser reached its $3,500 goal within 24 hours. They plan to place the memorial at Grounds for Sculpture, reflecting Sloane’s love of art; she was studying towards a master’s degree at the Rhode Island School of Design. The family were found on 2 October, after officers had tried to enter the home for a welfare check the previous day.
