Actor Dylan Walsh has paused his Cameo account after a fan video in which he said “Heated Rivalry” was filming 12 new episodes went viral. His remarks matter because they may have disclosed unannounced plans for the hockey romance’s future, prompting speculation that two seasons could be filmed together or that the second season may be divided.

Walsh, who plays David Hollander, said he was preparing to return to Canada to shoot more episodes and believed there would be 12. Creator Jacob Tierney had previously said he preferred seasons of no more than six episodes, while Walsh’s Cameo profile reportedly said he was stepping away after getting “in trouble”; the messages were later removed. Season two, adapted from Rachel Reid’s “The Long Game”, is expected in spring 2027.
