## Key points

- Two six-episode seasons are reportedly filming back-to-back.
- A holiday film centred on Scott and Kip is planned.
- Season 2 is confirmed for spring 2027.

## Summary

Sources say *Heated Rivalry* is filming two six-episode seasons back-to-back, with a standalone holiday film planned immediately afterwards. The reported plans would expand the hockey romance beyond its confirmed second season, though Crave says it has no projects to confirm.

The film is expected to focus on Scott and Kip, played by François Arnaud and Robbie G.K., rather than the central couple Shane and Ilya, and is planned for a theatrical release next December. Season 2 is confirmed for spring 2027, likely April, and is expected to adapt *The Long Game* while introducing a new couple. The series’ first season is also screening in cinemas, which reported $420,000 in Friday takings across 880 theatres.
