Producer Brendan Brady, known for the hockey drama "Heated Rivalry", has joined the Canadian independent film "From Me to You" as an executive producer. The romantic comedy, written and directed by Yukon-based filmmaker Daniel Little, is set and filmed in Whitehorse and tells the story of two emotionally guarded people finding love, with authentic representation of disability at its centre. Its Yukon setting and disability-led casting distinguish it within the wider slate of Canadian indie productions vying for funding and attention.

Allan Dobrescu stars as Paul, an aspiring writer with cerebral palsy who writes anonymous letters to himself in order to connect with his mail carrier, Nora, played by Genevieve Doyon; both Dobrescu and co-writer Peter Jickling have lived with cerebral palsy since birth, lending the project first-hand authenticity. Battlestar Galactica's Tahmoh Penikett also appears in the cast. The film is backed by Telefilm Canada's Talent to Watch programme alongside Yukon Media Development, the Canada Media Fund, Northwestel Community TV, the Disability Screen Office and the Yukon Film Society, with Brady producing alongside David Brady and Sonny Goldstein, and Marty O'Brien as producer.
