Henry Morris’ ‘One Night Stand’ Reveals the Lonelier Side of Desire

Clash · 3 hours ago

Henry Morris has released ‘One Night Stand’, a melancholic indie-pop single about the emotional emptiness that can follow a casual encounter. Written and co-produced with Kevin White, it continues the intimate, cinematic approach established on Morris’s 2024 debut album, ‘Jawbreaker’, and positions him as an emerging storyteller in the genre.

Morris previously left an economics degree and his pop duo Playyard before touring with Saint Levant, experiences that helped shape his darker sound. Now signed to Giant Music and with more than 100 million catalogue streams, he will support Artemas on the 38-date Getting Up to No Good Tour across North America, Europe and the UK from September to December, including shows in Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham and London.

  • ‘One Night Stand’ explores loneliness after casual intimacy.
  • Morris builds on the sound of his debut album.
  • He joins Artemas’ 38-date tour this autumn.
