Latin music artists are organising benefit events and fundraising efforts to support communities affected by recent major earthquakes in Colombia and Venezuela. The initiatives aim to raise money, supplies and public awareness as rescue and rebuilding work continues.

– Unidos Por Los Nuestros: A Miami benefit concert on 16 August will feature more than 30 artists, including Marc Anthony, Luis Fonsi and Ricardo Montaner, alongside a telethon and global fundraising campaign.
– Colombia, Medellín Te Quiere: More than 25 artists will perform in Medellín on 15 August, with all ticket proceeds and collected supplies directed to affected families.
– Colombia’s 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck near San José del Palmar, Chocó, after Venezuela experienced 7.2- and 7.5-magnitude earthquakes in June.
– As of Thursday, Colombia’s quake had reportedly killed at least 281 people, injured more than 3,900 and destroyed 10,600 homes.
