## Summary

Israeli President Isaac Herzog warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior officials that rising settler violence in the occupied West Bank could lead to a serious escalation. He said it could harm Israel’s security and its standing internationally, as well as affect its economy and Jewish communities abroad.

Herzog cited security officials’ concerns about limited resources and a shortage of personnel. He said the olive harvest season and upcoming elections in Israel and the United States could add to tensions; Palestinian Authority elections have been postponed. Herzog also condemned harm to innocent Palestinians as a “moral disgrace” and said lawlessness has no place in a sovereign state.
