Alexis "Lexi" Kramer, a 22-year-old Hooters calendar model from Lakeland, Florida, has been named as the second victim of a fiery McLaren crash in Irvine, California, that also killed James Wehr, 27, founder of the popular South OC Cars and Coffee show. The pair died in the early hours of Sunday when Wehr's McLaren 720S struck a kerb and slammed into a tree at speed, splitting apart and bursting into flames. Kramer had flown from Florida just two days earlier to meet Wehr in person for the first time, after the two had spent about a month talking on Instagram, raising questions about the circumstances that led her into the car and drawing attention to a budding online relationship cut tragically short.

According to Kramer's sister, Gracie, Wehr paid for her flight after telling her he was separated and finalising a divorce, a claim Gracie says is contradicted by Orange County court records showing no divorce case had been filed. The couple reportedly spent Saturday at Wehr's car show before dining at Nobu and having drinks at the Pendry Hotel in Newport Beach; the McLaren was later seen pulled over by police for reasons that remain unclear, before accelerating from a red light near Culver Drive and Deerfield Avenue and crashing around 12.20am. Authorities have not confirmed who was driving, and the investigation is ongoing; Kramer, a bartender who had recently earned a college degree and secured a new leadership role, was remembered by her sister as "kind and funny and charismatic".
