Seth Rogen’s long-running dispute with HBO comedy Entourage began after the 2004 series reportedly mocked his appearance in an episode. He responded by calling the people behind the programme “assholes” and criticising its creator, Doug Ellin, illustrating how celebrity feuds can be fuelled by on-screen jokes and public remarks.

Rogen said cast member Kevin Dillon apologised to him after explaining that Ellin apparently disliked him. Rogen said he believed Ellin was “a moron”, noted that he had criticised Entourage himself, and added that he had never watched the series and did not intend to.
