The answer is slightly complicated: Dinniman is writing a ninth and final entry, but he plans to split it into two separate volumes (likely labelled Part 1 and Part 2), meaning the saga will comprise nine books but ten physical volumes. He has cited the book's likely length and his intention to end the penultimate release on a major cliffhanger as reasons for the split. No release date has been announced, and there are currently no plans for further prose spin-offs, though a standalone graphic novel, "Dungeon Crawler Carl: Crocodile" — focusing on the character Florin and co-written with Michael Moreci — is on the way, alongside a Renegade role-playing and card game and a live-action Peacock TV series from Seth MacFarlane.
