How Much Has the Success of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Helped Boost Soundtrack Songs by Tame Impala, Steve Lacy & More?
The record-breaking box office launch of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has driven substantial streaming gains for songs featured on its soundtrack, according to Billboard's Trending Up newsletter. The film, the fourth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, took over $360 million (about £285 million) domestically in its opening weekend, surpassing "Avengers: Endgame" as the biggest US opening weekend on record, and its wide viewership has translated into a notable streaming boost for both classic and contemporary tracks used in the film.
