How Ryanair passenger who was sucked out plane window was saved by his hero wife who held onto his feet for five minutes

Daily Mail · 1 hour ago

A passenger aboard a Ryanair flight was reportedly sucked partway through a shattered cabin window, leaving him hanging up to his shoulders outside the aircraft as it continued to fly. According to fellow travellers, the man's wife clung to his legs for around five minutes to prevent him being pulled further out, until other passengers managed to haul him back into the cabin. The incident highlights serious safety concerns, as the jet reportedly flew for roughly 30 minutes with the damaged window before making an emergency landing.

The Boeing 737-800 had been travelling from Thessaloniki in Greece to Memmingen in Germany when the window shattered, forcing the flight to turn back and land at its departure airport. Oxygen masks dropped from the ceiling and passengers feared they "wouldn't make it", with one witness at the rear of the plane saying they initially thought the aircraft was falling. The injured man was described as having blood on his head and fainting several times, while videos of the shattered window circulated on social media, and a witness relayed the account to the German Press Agency (dpa).
