The comparison matters because Google and Samsung now offer similarly sized book-style foldables, making differences in design, weight, displays and performance more consequential for buyers.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold has 16GB of RAM, Android 17 and storage options from 256GB to 1TB, while the standard Z Fold 8 starts with 12GB of RAM and only offers 16GB on its 1TB model. Google’s phone weighs 239g, down from 258g for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, but remains heavier than Samsung’s 201g Z Fold 8 and 215g Z Fold 8 Ultra; its 6.5-inch outer and 8-inch inner OLED screens match the Ultra’s broad format, whereas the standard Z Fold 8 uses smaller 5.5-inch and 7.6-inch displays.
