In Google Docs, users can hide the bottom Gemini bar via Gemini > Bottom bar preferences > Turn off. Personal Google-account holders may also disable Gmail’s “Smart features” setting, which can remove several Gemini elements from Docs but also turns off grammar suggestions, autocorrect, Smart Compose, Smart Reply, nudges and Gmail spellcheck; Workspace users generally need their administrator to make such changes.
