The 2026-27 Champions League league-phase draw will be held in Monaco at 17:00 BST on Thursday 27 August, determining each of the 36 clubs’ eight opponents. Teams will play four home and four away matches, with the top eight progressing directly to the last 16 and places nine to 24 entering a play-off round.

The clubs are split into four pots based on their five-year Uefa coefficient, and each will face two opponents from every pot without meeting another side from its own country. A new rule prevents clubs hosting the same opponent in three consecutive league phases, meaning Liverpool cannot host Real Madrid and Arsenal cannot visit Inter Milan this time; Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are among the English clubs in pot one, while Aston Villa and Manchester United are in pot two.
