## Key points

- Petit Planet is planned for Switch 2 in 2027.
- No PS5 version has been announced.
- PC and mobile releases are due on 4 December.

## Summary

HoYoverse has confirmed that its cosy game Petit Planet is coming to Switch 2 in 2027, but has not announced a PS5 version. The choice is notable because the studio has brought most of its releases to PlayStation since Genshin Impact, and the game appears aimed at the audience for Animal Crossing.

Petit Planet launches on PC and mobile on 4 December, with the Switch 2 release planned for the following year. HoYoverse had previously planned a version of Genshin Impact for the original Switch, but it never appeared; the article says the studio will be asked whether Petit Planet may reach other platforms later. The author suggests its cosy format suits Nintendo and mobile, while noting possible competition on PS5 from Disney Dreamlight Valley and Infinity Nikki.
