Huawei’s Z10 add-on camera brings a sensor and variable zoom to Mate 90 phones
Huawei has unveiled the Ruiying Z10, a large add-on zoom camera for select Mate 90 phones. It stands out from other phone teleconverters because it contains its own image sensor and offers a variable zoom range, substantially expanding the phone’s camera hardware.
The Z10 has a 50-megapixel, 1-inch-type RYYB sensor and a 24–240mm zoom lens with an f/2.0–f/4.5 aperture. Weighing 346g, it attaches directly to the Mate 90 Pro Max Collector’s Edition and Mate 90 RS, though its size makes it unsuitable for a pocket. Those phones also have a 50-megapixel main camera, a 200-megapixel 4x periscope telephoto and a 40-megapixel ultrawide.
