## Key points

- Williams is writing a film featuring an ex-hockey player.
- Similarities to his *Heated Rivalry* role have complicated the script.
- Season 2 is due in spring 2027.

## Summary

Hudson Williams says he is writing a film with an ex-hockey player character, but the resemblance to his role in *Heated Rivalry* has made the script difficult to develop. He and his collaborators have considered switching the character to another sport, though hockey still seems to fit best.

Williams plays Shane Hollander in the series, whose second season is now in production in Canada. Based on Rachel Reid’s novel *The Long Game*, the season is expected to premiere in spring 2027; a number of new cast members have also been announced.
