## Summary

Starbucks has permanently closed its Jubilee Street branch in Brighton, the second store in the city to shut in recent weeks. The move is part of the chain’s wider review of its UK shops amid slowing sales and a cost-saving restructuring programme.

The branch served its last customers on 4 October 2026, and Starbucks said its employees had been redeployed to nearby stores. Customers were directed to branches on St James’s Street and London Road; the chain has about 1,300 UK shops overall, including around 520 company-owned stores.
