Hull agree £22m fee for Everton’s Iroegbunam

BBC Sport · 2 hours ago

Hull City have agreed a £22m package to sign Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam, in an initial £13m deal that could rise by a further £9m through add-ons. The 23-year-old, who joined Everton from Aston Villa for £9m in 2024, has been given permission to undergo a medical in East Yorkshire, with the move set to be his second major transfer within two years and Hull's 13th signing of a busy summer window.

The transfer forms part of a hectic deadline day for both clubs ahead of Tuesday night's cut-off. Hull are also continuing talks over a loan move for Chelsea's Dario Essugo, while Everton have separately agreed the £65m sale of winger Iliman Ndiaye to Manchester City and are closing in on Monaco striker Folarin Balogun. Everton remain in talks over Manchester City winger Jack Grealish and Fulham defender Kenny Tete, though a proposed return for Richarlison from Tottenham has stalled and now looks unlikely.
