## Summary

*Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentōshō* is presented as a 24-episode historical fantasy anime for viewers seeking a different kind of demon-hunting story after *Demon Slayer*. Set in Japan, it follows Jinta, a warrior bound to protect a shrine, whose life becomes shaped by a prophecy and an enduring duty that stretches across generations.

The story begins in the Edo period village of Kadono, where Jinta lives with Suzune, a girl connected to supernatural forces. After a demon warns of a future Demon God, Jinta gains unnatural longevity and lives through the Meiji, Taisho, Showa and Heisei eras. The article highlights the series’ focus on grief, memory, moral ambiguity and the cost of duty, and says its complete 24-episode season is listed on Hulu in the United States.
