- He cited his family’s privacy and safety.
- He encouraged supporters to give to others in need.

## Summary

Walt Z, a Red Baron worker filmed during a prank at a Michigan grocery store, has paused a fundraiser that has raised nearly $800,000. He said the public’s support had meant a great deal to his family, but he wants them to have peace and privacy, and will not take part in interviews.

The video showed a streamer pretending to take money from Walt while he was working; Walt said he had four children at home and was trying to provide for them. The clip prompted widespread support and a fundraiser, which Walt paused on Thursday, one week after donations began. He encouraged people who still want to give to support others in need.
