- He posted 20 adverts seeking men to have sex with her.
- Four men are on trial and deny the charges they face.

## Summary

Former Conservative councillor Philip Young admitted drugging and sexually abusing his wife, Joanne, over 13 years at their home in Swindon. His case was described to jurors during the trial of four men accused of sexually abusing her, one of whom, Mohammed Hassan, denies a charge of sexual touching.

The court heard that Young placed 20 adverts seeking men to have sex with his wife and sent messages describing the prospect as a “great thrill”. Investigators found 300 emails exchanged with other people between 2015 and 2019, as well as 480 images of Joanne, most taken without her knowledge or consent. Young has admitted nearly 50 sexual offences; the other defendants deny the charges they face.
