Paul Kligerman, who at seven years old famously told Seven Up! producers in 1964 that he was wary of marriage because a wife might make him eat green vegetables, revisits the memorable clip in "70 Up", the documentary series' final instalment airing on ITV1 and ITVX. The moment has become one of the long-running programme's most iconic, and its resurfacing more than six decades later highlights how far Kligerman has come since his childhood in a London children's home, offering a poignant bookend to a life the series has tracked every seven years.

Kligerman was one of 14 children from varied backgrounds followed by the programme, having entered care after his parents' divorce before emigrating to Australia with his father and brother at 14. He went on to marry his partner Sue in 1978, raising two children in Melbourne, and has worked as a bricklayer, in sign-making and in retirement village maintenance. Now shown doting on his grandchildren after 48 years of marriage, he reflects in "70 Up" on the importance of family, forgiveness and living an honest life, also crediting the series with helping repair his once-estranged relationship with his mother.
