Tony Pulis says Stoke City supporters feel cheated after Manchester City were found guilty of breaching most of the 115 Premier League financial rules alleged against them. Stoke lost 1-0 to City in the 2011 FA Cup final, and Pulis argues that the verdict has cast their defeat, and City’s subsequent dominance, in a different light.

Pulis recalls Stoke’s historic Wembley occasion and the financial disparity between the clubs, highlighting Yaya Touré’s reported £24m transfer fee and wages far exceeding those of Stoke players. Although he expects an appeal and believes a points deduction and substantial fine are more likely than trophies being returned, he says Stoke can never regain the opportunity to celebrate winning the cup.
