- Deal alerts can help cut costs, but may tempt extra spending.

## Summary

The writer describes discovering that IsThereAnyDeal can connect to a Steam Wishlist and track discounts across multiple game stores. The tool helped their nephew replace a £50 Steam purchase of Total War: Warhammer 3 with a £7.49 Humble Store copy, saving more than £40 after he refunded the original.

The site tracks offers from stores including Steam, EA, Epic, GOG and Humble, and can send alerts when wishlisted games go on sale. The writer also found three other wishlist games available for £10 in total, each discounted by more than 70%, while noting that easy access to deals could encourage extra spending.
