## Key points

- Specs are lighter and more comfortable than the earlier prototype.
- The glasses weigh 132 grams and cost $2,200.
- Their everyday purpose remains uncertain.

## Summary

Snap’s Specs augmented reality glasses have become lighter and more comfortable since an earlier prototype, though their purpose remains unclear. The review finds the improvements notable but questions whether the current experience justifies the high price for everyday users.

The glasses now weigh 132 grams, down from around 8 ounces, and come in two sizes with spring hinges to improve fit. During an hour-long demonstration, they did not heat up as before. Snap is asking $2,200, and while the device can synchronise what two users see, the reviewer says its many features lack a clear focus.
