## Summary

Ilhan Omar joked that she and streamer Hasan Piker receive media attention because they “look good” on screen, during a livestream conversation before an event in Minnesota. The remark came as Omar faces renewed scrutiny from federal investigators, making the exchange notable amid questions about her citizenship, finances and past marriages.

The article says investigators are examining whether Omar was eligible for automatic US citizenship through her father, as well as her marriage history and financial filings. Allegations that a former husband was her brother have been denied by Omar and have not been established in court. After agents searched her Washington home and seized property, Omar’s lawyers asked the Justice Department to return her passport and electronic devices; she has also amended a financial filing that had reported shared assets of $6 million to $30 million, citing accounting errors.
