A public sculpture honouring the influential art rock band XTC has been unveiled in Queens Park in their hometown of Swindon. The monument, incorporating design elements from two of the band's significant album artworks, was realised through a crowdfunding campaign initiated by fans Mike Smith and Graham Carter, who accumulated funds to bring the project to completion.

At the ceremony, XTC guitarist Dave Gregory expressed genuine appreciation for the tribute, noting the band's enduring association with Swindon internationally. Local Member of Parliament Heidi Alexander drew a cultural parallel between XTC's influence on the town and the historical importance of Swindon's railway heritage, positioning the band as central to the town's modern cultural identity. The event concluded with a performance by EXTC, a tribute ensemble led by the band's original drummer Terry Chambers.
