## Key points

- Bullock once ruled out a third Speed film.
- She and Reeves later showed interest in working together again.
- No sequel is confirmed, and the script would need to be right.

## Summary

Sandra Bullock, who once ruled out returning to the Speed franchise “in a million years”, has since softened her stance on making a third film with Keanu Reeves. Their changed outlook matters to fans hoping to see the pair reunite, though neither has confirmed a sequel.

Bullock said she regretted making Speed 2: Cruise Control, which earned eight Golden Raspberry nominations, and recalled realising it had failed when she watched it. In 1998, she said she would refuse Speed 3 even for $20 million; in 2024, Reeves said they could “knock it out of the park”, while Bullock said they should work together again before she dies. The article says a new film would depend on finding the right script, and director Jan de Bont is retired.
