- Expansion is also planned in other states.

## Summary

In-N-Out CEO Lynsi Snyder has rejected speculation that the burger chain will leave California, calling such a move “the dumbest business decision ever”. She said the company is continuing to grow in the state, where it began, despite her family’s relocation to Tennessee.

Snyder has previously cited California’s high cost of living and challenges of raising a family there as reasons for moving. In-N-Out is also exploring expansion in several other states, with an Albuquerque restaurant expected by 2027, while filings reportedly show plans for a new drive-through in Sherman Oaks. Founded in California in 1948, the chain remains closely associated with the state.
