Ina Garten has launched a YouTube channel and will host a video podcast called Happy Hour, produced in partnership with Vox Media. The show marks a move from traditional television into digital video, reflecting YouTube’s growing role in podcasting and food-focused content as pay-TV audiences decline.

Filmed in Garten’s New York City apartment, Happy Hour will feature conversations with guests from culture, food, art, entertainment and sport, alongside food and cocktails. Vox Media will handle the programme’s sales, marketing and distribution; Garten previously hosted Food Network’s Barefoot Contessa and has written 14 cookbooks.
