YouTuber Porter Sanders caught a backpack while fishing on Arizona’s Salt River and discovered two phones, a wallet and a firearm inside. He immediately stopped handling it, contacted Mesa police and handed the bag to officers, highlighting the risks of unexpectedly finding potentially dangerous items.

The weapon was identified as a Glock 20, and officials later located its owner, who had reportedly lost the backpack at Saguaro Lake about a year earlier. Authorities said there was no evidence of criminal involvement; Sanders’s video received more than 287,000 views in six days.
