Inside Harry Styles’ Opening Night of His 30-Show Madison Square Garden Residency

Harry Styles opened his 30-show Madison Square Garden residency with an energetic, revised setlist and several notable surprises, marking his first US tour in three years. The run is significant because it comprises all of his American dates for the Together, Together tour, returning him to a venue where he previously played 15 shows in 2022 and first appeared with One Direction in 2012.

The opening show began with “Dance No More” and included the live debut of “The Waiting Game”, both from his March album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, alongside older favourites such as “Kiwi”, “Watermelon Sugar” and “As It Was”. Styles also performed “Carolina” for the first time in years, acknowledged the Knicks’ 2026 NBA title, and paid tribute to Dolly Parton following her reported death by playing “I Will Always Love You”; Zoë Kravitz, Gayle King and Drew Barrymore were among those attending.
