Finnish melodic death metal band Insomnium has announced its tenth album, ‘Netherworlds’, and released a new single and video, ‘Gleam In The Black’. The track is intended to showcase the album’s blend of melancholy, atmospheric melody and heavier metal elements, while giving fans an early indication of the record’s themes and sound.

‘Netherworlds’ will be released through Century Media on 16 October 2026, with ‘Gleam In The Black’ serving as the second song revealed from it. Vocalist and bassist Niilo Sevänen described the song as one of the album’s faster tracks and a dark love story, while the video was directed by Patric Ullaeus; producer Miiro Varjus helped shape the album, with Jens Bogren mixing and Tony Lindgren mastering at Fascination Street Studios.
