Interpol have released "Iron City", the third single from their forthcoming album This Mirror Weighs A Ton. The track continues the New York band's long tradition of songs loosely evoking their home city, keeping the veteran group in the spotlight ahead of the record's arrival next month.

The album, due out on 28 August via Partisan, was recorded with producer Andrew Wyatt and mixed by Dave Fridmann. "Iron City" is described as a majestic slow-burner featuring murky pianos and music-box chimes, with frontman Paul Banks in a theatrical, moody register. It follows earlier singles, the title track and "See Out Loud".
